Jeff Edwards is an accomplished attorney with a quarter of a century of legal experience in corporate and private practice. Jeff spent his early career as the only attorney in the small town of Roland, Oklahoma. During his early days in private practice he served as the City Attorney for the Town of Roland, and later as part time Municipal Judge. His practice focused on litigating negligence cases from both the plaintiff’s and defense sides. Jeff later went to work in the academic world and worked as a faculty member and administrator at the college level, where he was the Chairman of several academic committees and high profile task forces.
Jeff then became in-house counsel at multiple large transportation companies where he worked for 16 years. His work as corporate counsel enabled him a unique understanding of all aspects of transportation law, employment law/staffing, risk management, and general contract reviews for large corporations. He has demonstrated expertise in negotiation, contract review, employment law, corporate staffing, and human resources management. He is now enjoying private practice in partnership with other great lawyers with whom he worked in the transportation industry. He is one of the founders of the Non-Profit Organization Developmental Wings, Inc., which provides free services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. He has continued to teach employment law and human resources classes at the graduate level for over seven years, and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Webster University.
Jeff currently practices in the areas of Transportation Law, Estate Planning, and Business Law. He currently represents multiple fortune 500 companies in areas concerning transportation law issues. He received his law degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the Legal Honors Fraternity Phi Delta Phi. He is privileged to be admitted to practice before the Bar of the State of Oklahoma and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and the Western District of Arkansas. He has been a member of the Association of Transportation Law Professionals and the Transportation Lawyers Association. He has been a presenter and panelist at the Mid-Year Conference of the Transportation Lawyers Association Regional Conference, and is a founding member of the Logistics Lawyers Association.
